1. Who we are

Sweepcut is made by Dansyte ("we", "us"). You can contact us at dansytehq@gmail.com.

These terms apply when you buy, install or use Sweepcut, and when you use sweepcut.com. By doing any of those, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't buy or use Sweepcut.

2. Buying Sweepcut

Sweepcut is sold through Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record. Gumroad takes your payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt and license key. Gumroad's own terms also apply to the payment.

The price is shown at checkout. You pay once. There's no subscription.

3. Your license

When you buy Sweepcut, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it. Under that license:

• One purchase is for one person.
• You can install Sweepcut on any Macs you personally use.
• You can use it for personal or commercial work, including your own product listings and client projects.
• A team or business needs one license for each person who uses Sweepcut.

Sweepcut is licensed to you, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights in the app, its code, its name and its design, apart from the license above.

4. What you may not do

You may not:

• share, publish or sell your license key, or let anyone else use it;
• copy, resell, rent, lend, sublicense or redistribute Sweepcut;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or modify Sweepcut, except where the law allows it despite this term;
• get around or interfere with license activation;
• use Sweepcut for anything unlawful, or to process images you don't have the right to use.

If you break these terms, your license ends and you must stop using Sweepcut and delete it. We may also refuse to activate a license key that has been shared or misused.

5. Your images

Everything you make with Sweepcut is yours. Sweepcut processes your photos on your Mac and never uploads or collects them.

You're responsible for the images you process and publish: for having the right to use them, for checking that each result is right, and for meeting the rules of any marketplace or platform you post them to. Please keep backups of your original images.

6. Activation

Sweepcut needs the internet once, to activate. Activation sends your license key and Sweepcut's product ID to Gumroad to confirm the purchase. No other data is sent. See the privacy policy for details.

A license key from a purchase that was refunded or charged back can no longer activate Sweepcut.

7. Updates and support

All 1.x updates are free. A future 2.0 may be a paid upgrade, and the version you bought keeps working either way.

Sweepcut needs macOS 14 Sonoma or later. We aim to keep it working on new versions of macOS, but we can't promise that every future macOS release will be supported.

Support is by email at dansytehq@gmail.com, or by replying to your receipt. We'll do our best to help, but we can't guarantee a response time.

8. Refunds

If Sweepcut isn't right for you, email dansytehq@gmail.com or reply to your receipt within 14 days of purchase, and tell us briefly why. We'll refund you in full.

Once a purchase is refunded, its license key stops activating Sweepcut, so please delete the app.

9. Your rights as a consumer

If you're a consumer, you have rights under Irish and EU consumer law, including rights if digital content is faulty or not as described. Nothing in these terms takes away or limits those rights.

10. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, Sweepcut and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

In particular, background removal is automatic and can be imperfect. Cut-outs can miss parts of a subject, keep parts of a background, or need adjusting. We don't promise that any result will be accurate or will be accepted by a marketplace. Check every image before you publish it.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

• we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, sales, business, revenue, goodwill or data, however it's caused;
• we aren't liable for loss that comes from images you publish without checking them, from a marketplace rejecting or removing a listing, or from not keeping backups of your originals;
• our total liability to you for everything connected with Sweepcut and this website is limited to the price you paid for Sweepcut.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited or excluded by law. Your rights as a consumer under section 9 still apply.

12. This website

The guides on sweepcut.com are general information, not professional advice. Marketplace rules change, and we show the date we last checked each one. Always confirm current rules with the marketplace itself.

Sweepcut isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Apple, Etsy, Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Canva, remove.bg or Gumroad. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility or comparisons.

Links to other websites are for convenience. We aren't responsible for their content.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when Sweepcut gains new features or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes won't take away the license you've already bought or your right to keep using the version you have.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.

If something goes wrong, please email dansytehq@gmail.com first. Most problems can be sorted out quickly.

15. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. These terms, together with Gumroad's terms for the payment, are the whole agreement between you and us about Sweepcut.
